Dispatch coordination
Dispatch is the live operations view — every job in flight, every vehicle on the road, every driver on shift.
Where to find it
In the app: Fleet → Dispatch (/fleet/dispatch).
The dispatch board
The board has three main columns by default:
- Pending assignment — accepted jobs that need a vehicle/driver allocated.
- In progress — jobs currently being executed, grouped by status (en route to pickup, loading, in transit, delivering).
- Completed today — finished jobs from the current day, before they roll into history.
You can switch to a map view to see all active vehicles on a single map with status icons.
Assigning a job
- Drag a pending job onto a vehicle, or click the job and use the assign dropdown.
- The platform suggests vehicles based on proximity, capacity, and driver hours.
- Confirm — the driver gets a push notification with the job details and route.
Re-routing in flight
If a job needs to change mid-execution (new drop-off, additional pickup, urgent priority change):
- Click the active job on the board.
- Edit the route or stops.
- The driver gets an updated route on their device and acknowledges before the change takes effect.
Exceptions
The board flags issues automatically:
- Behind schedule — vehicle isn’t on track to meet the ETA window.
- Off route — vehicle has deviated from the planned route.
- Driver hours warning — driver is approaching legal hours-of-service limits.
- Document expiry on active job — a vehicle’s permit is expiring while the job is in flight.

Permissions
Dispatch is a high-trust view — most logistics companies restrict it to operations roles. See Roles and permissions.
