Choosing your role
DynaCargo behaves differently depending on the role attached to your account. The platform recognises four primary roles:
| Role | You’re a… | You’ll mostly use… |
|---|---|---|
| Shipper / MSME | Business that needs to send goods | The marketplace, shipment tracking, your own small fleet (if any), warehouse overview |
| Logistics company | Mid- to large-sized operator with fleets and partners | Loads, dispatch, fleet management, transporter network, analytics |
| Transporter | Independent carrier or trucking company | Marketplace and bidding, backloads and routes, vehicles and drivers, trips and proof of delivery |
| Platform admin | DynaCargo or operator staff | User management, role assignment, compliance monitoring, audit trails |
Your role determines which sidebar sections appear, which dashboards you see by default, and which actions you can take. Permissions are layered on top — see Roles and permissions for detail.
Changing your role
If you signed up under the wrong role, an admin in your company can update it from /dashboard/members. If you’re a one-person account, contact support.
Multiple roles
A single account is one role at a time. If you operate as both shipper and transporter (for example, a logistics company that also moves its own cargo), pick the role that matches your primary use of DynaCargo — most cross-role workflows are available through fleet and marketplace regardless of your label.
